DESCRIPTION:

Here we have a superb pair of Mahogany c1910 Globe Wernicke stacking antique barrister bookcases both Units have 7 compartments with glazed up and over doors with a small brass knob. The units have the original makers badge stamped The Globe Wernicke & Co Ltd office & library furnishers London. Both units are in fantastic condition with only minimal signs of previous ownership. All doors are working smoothly and well. This pair of bookcases could be reduced in height and any unrequired compartments stored away carefully enabling them to suit many settings and cover many uses. This type of furniture is very popular for storage of fabrics and such in domestic settings in craft rooms and studios.

WORKSHOP REPORT:

Both bookcases are in great condition with only very minimal signs of previous ownership having just age related marks as one would expect. There is some old but retreated signs of woodworm in one of the bars please see picture.
