DESCRIPTION:

This is an absolute stonker of a shop counter. The counter dates from approx. c1880 and is solid mahogany a stunning rich red colour. This late Victorian Counter has 6 large deep drawers set off by long turned solid mahogany handles with chrome backplates the drawer fronts are chamfered all the way round. It has a super solid mahogany countertop all in one piece of mahogany. The counter stand on a concaved plinth just emphasising the true quality of the piece. This is a real eye catcher and would suit many commercial settings all high end this as we have displayed it would look stunning in country store or high-end boutique setting. Pieces such as this to this high quality and condition are becoming rarer and rarer.

WORKSHOP REPORT:

We have done nothing to this counter just given it a good clean and waxing all joints tight drawers run well colour is fantastic it does have the odd mark and bump as you would expect and would be suspicious of if it didn’t. There is a slight cut out to the back right hand side to allow for it to go over the skirting but only one side.
