DESCRIPTION:

This is a stunning mahogany ebonised jewellery shop display counter cabinet. The quality of the piece is outstanding and being made by F. Sage & Co London back in the 1890s just verifies the quality as you’d expect of such a manufacturer. The cabinet has the top glass display area with centre mahogany strip to the top with 3 drop down mirrored doors with wishbone shaped inset catches (not locks). The interior has a mirrored base which reflects the light enhancing the viewing area and showcasing the items displayed to their very best. The base is panelled all round having corbels to the top edge and 6 drop down doors to gain access to 6 cupboards for storage. It also has the added addition of the quality leather brass edged customer footrest to the base a lovely addition to see and not very often found but once again just emphasises the quality of the counter. This is a super piece as I have said and is going to give years of pleasure and very practical secure use for years to come. The counter comes in 2 pieces the top and the base for ease of installation and travel. This really is a fantastic piece that we are very proud to be able to offer for sale and will serve you and look fantastic in any jewellers or similar setting.

WORKSHOP REPORT:

This cabinet does have signs of previous ownership has you would expect considering age and years of use no damage just dings, bump etc all to be expected and to be accepted as part of its character and charm. There are 3 minuscule fisheye chips to the top glass please request photos these are far too small to be added to main photos. One handle has a damaged ring pull, but this is in the process of being repaired and will be done before it is dispatched. The rear mirrors in the 3 top back doors have some foxing nothing that deflects from the beauty of the piece or impairs to viewing of displayed items due to them being vertical the inner mirrored base is in great condition which is the main area.
